Year End News/Update!

Hello Everyone! I hope many of you are enjoying your holiday so far as the new year approaches (in less than 6 hours) and 2013 will be behind us.

Anyways, As many of you may or may not know that Fairy Tail anime is returning in April 2014. So rejoice that Fairy Tail anime is coming back in Spring 2014. This was announced in the sixth issue of 2014 of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine with staff changes, improved quality of the anime and Bridge replacing Satelight along with A-1 Pictures.

Here is the related artict from Anime News Network (ANN) below.

Director Ishihira assures fans that though some staff members have changed, quality of the anime has increased
——————————————————————————————

The sixth issue of 2014 of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine is announcing on January 8 that the anime adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail manga will return in April on Tokyo TV and its related channels.

Director Shinji Ishihira expressed his joy at being able to bring the anime to fans in the spring. He mentioned that while there will be a change in staff for the restart of the anime, they are working to increase the quality of the show as a whole.

The magazine lists the cast and staff:

  • Cast
  • Natsu – Tetsuya Kakihara
  • Lucy – Aya Hirano
  • Happy – Rie Kugimiya
  • Gray – Yūichi Nakamura
  • Erza – Sayaka Ohara
  • Staff
  • Director: Shinji Ishihira
  • Series Composition: Masashi Sogo
  • Character Design: Shinji Takeuchi
  • Animation Production: A-1 Pictures, Bridge

Takeuchi is replacing Aoi Yamamoto as character designer, while Bridge is replacing Satelight as one of the studios animating the series.

Mashima had asked fans earlier this year to wait until he could announce some “good news” since the first television anime adaptation of Fairy Tail ended. Mashima added on Twitter at the time, “It’s actually not over yet. I can’t say more than this, but I hope you watch the rerun starting in April and wait for the day I can announce some good news. […] Anime is not the end. Don’t stop believing.” The series concluded with a “To Be Continued” title card. Mashima later announced that the television anime project had relaunched.

You may or may know already that a new Fate/stay night anime has been previewed by Ufotable, the studio that brought you the awesomeness that is Fate/Zero, in a teaser video. It also states that more details will be revealed on Jan 30, 2014. They are also producing this new Fate/stay night, in case you forgot. I’m pretty much hyped already after seeing what they can do with Fate/Zero.

New Fate/stay night Anime by ufotable Previewed in Teaser Video

Site’s meta tags list new project as TV anime
——————————————————————————————

Aniplex opened a teaser site for a new animated Fate/stay night project on Friday. The trailer that began streaming on the website begins by recapping some of the events of the Fate/Zero anime animated by ufotable, then proceeds to introduce the main characters of the “next generation,” including Rin Tōsaka, Sakura Matō, Rider, Archer, and others. The meta tags for the website list the project as a TV anime. More information on the project will be unveiled in the ninth volume of Kadokawa’s Type-Moon Ace magazine.

The December issue of Kadokawa’s COMPTIQ magazine featured an ad for volume nine of the Type-Moon Ace magazine, and featured an image of Fate/stay night’s Saber. Underneath the title, the text reads, “What has come before and what has yet to come.”

The text below this reads:

“On that day, a few miracles were waiting on the voyage that Fate/stay night departed on January 30, 2004. It’s been a decade since Fate/stay night left port. On January 30, 2014, the ocean on which the “Ark of Fate” rides on will move into an unknown world…”

Animation studio ufotable’s founder Hikaru Kondo announced in July that ufotable will produce a new Fate/stay night project. Kondo did not specify the format that the new project will take, nor did he specify if the project would be a remake.

Studio DEEN previously animated the Fate/stay night television anime series in 2006. The studio also produced the Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works film in 2010, which covered The Unlimited Blade Works storyline from Type-Moon’s game franchise.

Sentai Filmworks released both the television anime series and the film in North America. Funimation had released the television series before that in 2009. Tokyopop published 11 volumes of Datto Nishiwaki’s manga version in North America before its North American branch shut down in May 2011.

The studio ufotable previously animated the Fate/Zero prequel television anime series that was based on Gen Urobuchi and Type-Moon’s novel. Aniplex of America released that series in North America on Blu-ray Disc, and the company then reissued the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc with an English dub.

Thanks, Kagayaki

That’s pretty much all the news/update I wanted to show you, so hopefully they will get you hype train going for awhile.

Have a nice day/night and stay warm/cool, wherever you’re reading from. Happy New Year!

Winter 2014 Anime Plan!

Season Greetings, Everyone! I hope many of you are enjoying your holiday so far as the new year approaches and 2013 will soon be behind us.

Anyways, now that its winter; it`s that time to announce some new anime to watch for Winter 2014. I’ll be watching 8 series for Winter 2014, so let`s continue shall we.

The first anime I’ll be watching for Winter 2014 is Buddy Complex, it’ll begin airing on Jan 5, 2014 on Tokyo MX at 12:00 AM JST. It`s a new original mech anime from studio, Sunrise, that brought you Gundam anime and it`s recently finished series, Kakumeiki Valvrave. It’s opening theme will be “UNISONIA” by TRUE and it’s ending theme will be “Ano Sora ni Kaeru Mirai de (あの空に還る未来で; In the future we return to that sky)” by ChouCho, the singles will be released on Feb 23, 2014.

ChouCho’s official site is http://iwill-music.co.jp/choucho/
The anime’s official site is http://buddy-complex.jp/index.html

TRUE is a new band/group, so this will be their debut song/single. You should be familiar with ChouCho’s music/songs by now; if not, go on youtube and check them out.

The second anime I’ll be watching is Hamatora The Animation, it’ll begin airing on Jan 7, 2014 on TV Tokyo at 1:40 AM JST. It’s s a “super-powered mystery x battle entertainment” mixed-media project, produced by NAZ, so it seems pretty interesting as it has some action as well. The opening theme will be “FLAT” by livetune adding Yuuki Ozaki (from Galileo Galilei) and the ending theme will be “Hikari” by Wataru Hatano. The OP single will most likely be out in February/March 2014 while the ED single will be released on Feb 19, 2014.

livetune’s official site is http://livetune.jp/
Galileo Galilei’s official site is http://galileogalilei.jp/
Wataru Hatano’s official site is http://hatanowataru.dive2ent.com/
The anime’s official site is http://hamatorapj.com/animation.html

Some of you maybe familiar with livetune’s music/songs as he did theme songs or so for 6♥Princess, Devil Survivor 2 The Animation, Digimon Xros Wars: Aku no Death General to Nanatsu no Oukoku, Digimon Xros Wars: Toki wo Kakeru Shounen Hunter-tachi, Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha, Mahou Tsukai Nara Miso wo Kue!, Nisekoi, Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai + Specials, Redial, Stella Jogakuin Koutou-ka C³-bu, Take Your Way, Tell Your World, Transfer, and Weekender Girl. Galileo Galilei has done Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai + Movie, Gundam AGE, and Ookiku Furikabutte: Natsu no Taikai Hen; so you may or may not be familiar with their music/songs. Wataru Hatano is a voice actor and has done Angel’s Feather, Battle Spirits: Heroes, Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, Okane ga Nai, Saint Beast: Kouin Jojishi Tenshi Ta, Seiyuu Sentai Voicetorm 7, and Shirokuma Cafe.

The third anime I’ll be watching is Mahou Sensou or Magical Warfare, it’ll begin airing on Jan 9, 2014 on TBS at 1:28 AM JST. It’s a LN adaption produced by Madhouse. It looks interesting and has action. The opening theme will be “Senkou no Prisoner” (閃光のPRISONER; PRISONER of flash) by Yuuka Nanri while the ending theme has yet to be determined, but will be revealed within next 7 days. The OP single will be released on Feb 5, 2014.

Yuuka Nanri’s official site is http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/nanri-yuuka/
The anime’s official site is http://www.tbs.co.jp/anime/mahosen/index-j.html & http://www.mediafactory.co.jp/bunkoj/mahousensou/

Yuuka Nanri is a currently a vocalist for Yuki Kajiura’s “FictionJunction Yuuka” project, so I’m sure many of you are familiar with her music/songs as well as the group she is apart of.

The fourth anime I’ll be watching is Nobunaga the Fool, it’ll begin airing on Jan 5, 2014 on TV Tokyo at 1:05 AM JST. It’s probably one of the highly anticipated anime, produced by Satelight, due to the premise; which looks promising. The opening theme will be “FOOL THE WORLD” by Minori Chihara and the ending theme will be “AXIS” by STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION. The OP single will be released on Feb 26, 2014 while the ED single will be released on Feb 12, 2014.

Minori Chihara’s official site is http://chiharaminori.net/index.html
STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION’s official site is http://lantis.jp/artist.php?id=15eeda373954be1892dadeffa151a236
The anime’s official site is http://www.nobunaga.tv/

Nothing the comment here as you should be familiar with both of them.

The fifth anime I’ll be watching is Nobunagun, it’ll begin airing on Jan 5, 2014 on Tokyo MX at 10:00 PM JST. It’s adapted from a manga, which is being produced by Bridge, it’s an action type anime (which i like); so should be interesting. The opening theme will be “Respect for the dead man” by Pay money To my Pain and the ending theme will be “Chiisana Hoshi (ちいさな星; Little Star)” by Shio Ogura (Shiori Mutou), Newton (Yuu Asakawa), Galileo (Sumire Uesaka). The OP single will most likely be released in February/March 2014 while the ED single will be released on Feb 19, 2014.

Pay money To my Pain’s official site is http://www.paymoneytomypain.com/
The anime’s official site is http://www.vap.co.jp/nobunagun/

Pay money To my PAIN did Buzzer Beaters and One Outs, so this will be their 3rd anime. The ED is being done by a few voice actor of the series.

The sixth anime I’ll be watching is Noragami, it’ll begin airing on Jan 5, 2014 on Tokyo MX at 11:30 PM JST. It’s adapted from a manga, which is being produced by Bones. The premise seems interesting enough. The opening will be “Goya no Machiawase (午夜の待ち合わせ; Meeting of Umayoru)” by Hello Sleepwalkers and the ending theme will be “Heart Realize (ハートリアライズ)” by Tia. The OP single will be released on Jan 29, 2014 while the ED single will be released on Mar 12, 2014.

Hello Sleepwalkers’s official site is http://www.hellosleepwalkers.com/
Tia’s official blog is http://ameblo.jp/tia-blog/ (unsure)
The anime’s official site is http://noragami-anime.net/

This is most likely Hello Sleepwalkers first anime. I’m not sure if this is the same Tia that’s doing this ED.

The seventh anime I’ll be watching is Space Dandy, it’ll begin airing on Jan 5, 2014 on Tokyo MX at 11:00 PM JST. It’s an original anime produced by Bones. It has a retro vibe to it, so yeah. The opening will be “Viva Namida” (ビバナミダ; Viva Teardrops) by Yasuyuki Okamura and the ending theme will be “X Jigen e Youkoso (X次元へようこそ; Welcome to the X Dimension)” by Etsuko Yakushimaru. The ED single will be released on Jan 29, 2014; although the single the song is from has been released, it probably be an album release.

Yasuyuki Okamura’s official site is http://okamurayasuyuki.info/
Etsuko Yakushimaru’s official site is http://yakushimaruetsuko.com/
The anime’s official site is http://space-dandy.com/top.html

Yasuyuki Okamura did City Hunter 2, so this will be his 2nd anime. Etsuko Yakushimaru did Arakawa Under the Bridge, Arakawa under the Bridge × Bridge, Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl, Natsu no Arashi! Akinai-chū, Penguindrum and (The) Tatami Galaxy; so this will be her 6th/7th anime.

The eighth and final anime I’ll be watching is Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil, it’ll begin airing on Jan 12, 2014 on Tokyo MX at 12:30 AM JST. It’s an original anime produced by ARMS. The premise is interesting and the PVs shows alot of action. The opening will be “JUSTITIA” by Lia and the ending theme will be “BLUE TOPAZ” by Rui Tanabe The single(s) will most likely be out in February/March 2014.

Lia’s official site is http://www.lias-cafe.com/
The anime’s official site is http://wizardbarristers.com/

You should be familiar with Lia’s music/songs by now; if not, go on youtube and check them out. *cough* Angel Beats *cough* Rui Tanabe is a new voice actress and this will be her debut song/single.

Whew, that took a long while for me to type them out as it’s pretty much it for the winter anime I’ll be watching for the time being. Also Kill la Kill 2nd opening, “ambiguous” by GARNiDELiA, has a single release date; that date is Mar 5, 2014.

GARNiDELiA’s official site is http://www.garnidelia.com/

That is all for now. Have a nice day/night and stay warm/cool, wherever you’re reading from.

Happy Holidays!
